SWAT Called To Armed Stand-Off In Philadelphia: Police

A man's father told police he was inside a Philadelphia home with a firearm, according to a release by city police.

The police were called to the reported barricaded in the 1200 block of South Millick Street, 18th District, at 7:22 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24.

When they arrived the man's father shared that his son was inside and was armed, the police explained in the release. The situation was declared a "barricade" situation a 8:19 a.m.

The police arrested the man at 9:09 a.m.

The house was then cleared by SWAT.
